Chicken fajitas (gluten and dairy free)



Free from:

Gluten, milk/lactose, nuts, soya, celery, sesame, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, lupin, sulphites, mustard, egg




Replace the chicken with tofu or aubergine for a vegetarian/vegan option

1 tbsp oil

5 large chicken breasts - chopped into bite-size pieces

2 peppers - any colour

¼ - 1 tsp cayenne chilli powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp brown sugar

½ tsp onion granules

½ tsp garlic granules

½ tsp ground cumin

Pinch of black pepper

4-8 gluten-free wraps - check for milk and egg

Bowl of salad, e.g. shredded lettuce, spring onion, cherry tomatoes, cucumber)

Jar of guacamole - check for milk, nuts and gluten (e.g. Yarden guacamole avocado dip or home made)

Jar of salsa

100g dairy-free cheese - grated, e.g. Violife


1. Put all of the herbs, spices and sugar into a bowl. Stir to mix together

2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan or wok over a medium – high heat

3. Stir fry the chicken until cooked through (for 5-10 minutes)

4. Add the peppers. Stir fry for a further 5-10 minutes until the peppers are cooked to your liking

5. Tip in the seasoning mix. Stir well

6. Heat the gluten-free wraps as per the packet instructions

7. Serve the chicken, wraps, guacamole, salsa, dairy-free cheese and salad separately so people can enjoy making their own fajitas
