Sukhothai has been right in the heart of Leed’s bustling student suburb since 2007. Occupying a commanding corner plot, on St Anne’s Road, it offers you the fantastic à la carte menu as well as our Express lunchtime menu. I love Sukhothai and the food is always fantastic. I have only eaten out at the Headingley venue once. The meal was amazing, but the reason I have scored it a 4 overall is because the waitress did not seem sure about what foods I could have (being gluten free and lactose free). Rather than consulting anyone – she erred on the side of caution massively and told me that I could only have a couple of choices. I know from eating at other venues that usually they are happy to adapt most options so that was a little frustrating. I was happy that she was playing it safe however, rather than risking anything. Maybe she was new?! I did however still really enjoy my meal, as did my mini-coeliac (who just can’t get enough of rice). I will definitely try the venue again.
