Armstrong’s

A spacious, comfortable, family restaurant with views right over the beach on Clacton seafront. The owner has a family member with coeliac disease so is clued up on the necessity for care in food preparation and all chips are cooked in a gluten free dedicated fryer. Many dishes are gluten free or available to be made gluten free. If you don't want a full meal, they have a bar/coffee area, with comfy sofas with gluten free cake available. (I'm not talking pre-wrapped Brownie here.....cakes are deep decorated sponge cakes or carrot cake I believe). Sadly, no proper dairy free desserts at present, which doesn't suit me (but I'm ever hopeful that might change in time) but there are gluten free options if that's all your special duet requires.
The owner is a very helpful, friendly man, with equally helpful staff.
