Drewton’s Farm Shop

I called in to the shop which is very nice and well stocked with seemingly organic and healthy eating produce .. However I then decided to stay for lunch and what a disappointment.
The menu did the bare minimum by law for allergy sufferers. The waitress did not have a clue what had gluten in and what didn’t. She kept having to go into the kitchen to consult. In the end we deduced I could have gammon and chips. At this point I felt nervous to say the least. I waited 20 minutes and then the manager came over and told I would have to wait another 10 minutes as they had forgotten to put the chips in, at that point I got up and left. I later emailed the owner explaining what at happened. Initially she tried to put the blame onto me with a completely inaccurate story of what had infact happened. I challenged this and although accepting my story the response was very unsatisfactory. She made no attempt to get me through the door again. . I would not feel that someone which an allergy would be safe to eat there.
