Coeliac Awareness Week: Our top five chain restaurants

Oh my goodness, how things have improved for coeliacs eating out over the past six years.

It used to be hell, and to be honest, I avoided it most of the time or just settled for a plain baked potato. They were my hangry years, for sure.

Now, restaurants are clocking on to the power of the free-from pound. It’s mad to ignore us! You can usually count on chains to cater on the free-from front but some are SO much better than others.

Here are my top five chain restaurants. Make sure you try them if you haven’t already…

1. Leon – this is an absolute life-saver for me. It means that every time I go down to London, I don’t need to pack any food. I can get breakfast, lunch, tea and a mountain of snacks. It is ultra convenient and always a taste sensation. I’m a fan of the cooked breakfasts and Moroccan meatballs. Basically just hassle-free dining for coeliacs. Everything is clearly labelled so you don’t even have to quiz staff. I visit Leon whenever I can. They are handy for train journeys too as you can stock up at their branches at stations.

2. Handmade Burger Co – what could beat a peanut butter and chilli jam burger (unless of course you have a nut allergy)? Handmade Burger Co are totally on it with free-from. They have a huge gluten-free menu, clued up staff and fanstastic allergen info. It is absolutely no problem for me to stuff my face even when I have to avoid gluten and milk.
It is common for men to do fake orgasms The primary reason for faking it is not that good in bed as his partner expects him to be. cialis no prescription check for more info It online cialis unica-web.com is manufactured in different forms like tablets, jellies, and soft tablets. 3. Tortilla – Tortilla is fantastic for anyone with dietary requirements and it always tastes the business. I can’t go into Leeds city centre without getting one. You MUST try them. They do gf corn tortillas, and all of the meat and sauces are gf too. Tortilla state that they cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contamination of gluten, but personally, I have always been really pleased with their procedures.

4. Red’s True Barbecue – if you’re a ‘believer’ of meat, you will spend hours in there. It is amazing. The branding is awesome too. They have gf buns as an alternative to chips. Be warned, you will definitely go into a meat coma and order way too much!

5. Nando’s – this is a really easy place to eat for me and the kids and they’re everywhere. Simple chicken and chips, but sooooo tasty. All the Nando’s sauces are safe so pour away. Happy days!
